ICEL TECH is looking for a motivated and passionate Junior Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team.
You will work on building scalable backend systems, RESTful APIs, and structured server-side architectures. This role is ideal for someone with strong fundamentals who is eager to grow in a professional backend-focused environment.
This is a fully remote position with a structured work schedule.
Work Schedule

- 5 Working Days (Saturday & Sunday Off)
- 8 Hours Per Day
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js
- Work primarily with NestJS (Express.js knowledge is acceptable)
- Implement authentication and authorization (JWT or third-party)
- Design database schemas and write optimized queries
- Integrate SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Implement proper validation and error handling
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable backend code
- Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and product teams
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6 Months – 1 Year of experience in backend development (internship experience accepted)
- Strong knowledge of Node.js
- Experience with NestJS (preferred) or Express.js
- Understanding of RESTful API architecture
- Solid knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL is a plus)
- Familiarity with MongoDB (optional but preferred)
- Understanding of authentication (JWT or third-party auth)
- Good knowledge of JSON data handling and validation
- Good understanding of OOP concepts
- Experience using Git for version control
Nice to Have
- Understanding of database indexing, caching
- TypeScript experience
- Basic knowledge of Docker
