Uddom is building innovative web solutions with multiple products already in production. Early-stage company with direct technical leadership involvement. We build modern web products and platforms. We’re early, hands-on, and technical.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and ship responsive web features using modern Next.js (App Router) and React in production environments
- Design scalable REST APIs with NestJS or similar Node.js frameworks
- Build simple inference APIs in Python with FastAPI or Flask
- Integrate pretrained models for search, ranking, and text classification
- Configure CI/CD pipelines through GitHub Actions or similar automation tools
- Manage containerized deployments using Docker on AWS (EC2, ECR, S3, SES)
- Work with container orchestration tools and auto-deployment systems
- Participate in technical stand-ups with CEO (hybrid online/in-person format)
- Strong testing culture with meaningful unit/integration coverage on critical paths
- Debug production issues and optimize application performance across live systems
- Build and maintain real-time features using WebSockets or Socket.io
Must-Have Skills (First 90 Days Priority)
- Next.js (App Router) and React (modern patterns) 2+ years building production applications
- React 3+ years with hooks, context, and modern patterns
- Node.js, NestJS or Express 2+ years designing RESTful APIs
- Python 3.10 or higher 2+ years including Pandas and scikit-learn, basics of PyTorch or TensorFlow, experience calling hosted models or APIs
- PostgreSQL 2+ years database design and optimization
- Git version control daily workflow with branching and conventional commits
- Docker containerization 1+ year deploying applications
- JavaScript and TypeScript strong ES6+ fundamentals and type safety
- Responsive CSS experience with Tailwind or styled-components
Nice-to-Have / Can Learn on the Job
- AWS experience including EC2, S3, SES with container workflows
- NestJS microservices architecture and development
- Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
- Security best practices including OAuth 2.0 and JWT
- Kubernetes orchestration for production workloads
- Experience with Portainer, Watchtower, or similar container management tools
- Real-time applications using Socket.io or similar WebSocket libraries
- Payment gateway integrations such as SSLCommerz or Bkash
- AWS SES for transactional email systems
Work Setup & Location
Remote position with 1 in-person working day per month in Dhaka with occasional additional days for key planning sessions. Core hours: 10 AM – 6 PM.
